Ils sont devenus des espaces multifonctionnels qui doivent satisfaire les rythmes quotidiens de leurs occupants mais également pouvoir accueillir des invités de passage, le mobilier doit donc pouvoir s’adapter à différentes activités. Espirahl est une table dont le plateau se relève pour accueillir du matériel de travail (ordinateur, papier, objets personnels) puis disparaît pour laisser place à une autre activité telle que partager un repas à plusieurs. Sa mise en forme est simple: piétement et tiroir en hêtre massif, plateau bois brut ou stratifié.
The use of many living spaces is multiple and versatile. Domestic spaces evolved with the end of separation between work space and living space and became multifunctional communication areas which must fit to occupants with their daily rythms, to guests, and to visitors in relation with professionnal activity. Thus furniture must be able to adapt itself to different activities during one day.
Espirahl is a classic dining table which a part of the plate can be lifted to store a laptop, some paper or some personal devices, so the all plate is then totally free for a new activity such sharing a meal with one’s guests. Its manufacturing is bare bones: beech wood feet and beams for the structure , beech wood drawer and laminated beech wood plate.
